Remember that this is just a starting point for your research. If you need further assistance, be sure to stop by and ask a librarian at the Research/IT desk located in the middle of the library on the 4th Floor. LibX Extension - the LibX extension adds a toolbar to the top of your browser and additional options when you right-click or ctrl-click with your mouse. Click here to get to the page to install the extension. The extension makes it easy to search for items you found online directly in our catalog or through Google Scholar. (Note: This is a Firefox extension and does not work in other browsers.)
- You can re-load any page through the proxy server by doing a right-click or ctrl-click on the page, and choosing "Reload via Carleton off-campus access."
- You can use the tool bar to search the Bridge without having to go to the library's website.
- You can hightlight a word on a page and right-click to search the Bridge for that word.
- The LibX extension is still being perfected. Let us know if you notice any problems or have ideas for additions. If you install the extension and then new revisions are created, you'll be notified and asked if you want to update.
