SOAN 262: Anthropology of Health and Illness

For Professor Pamela Feldman Savelsberg - Winter 2020

Finding Organizations

The GuideStar directory of organizations is a great tool for finding nonprofits by keyword. Many small organizations do not have web sites, which makes this tool even more valuable. You'll need to sign up for your own free account. The library does not subscribe to the full "premium" version.

Saving What You Find Online

Nothing's worse than copying down a URL incorrectly, or putting a bunch of web sites into one browser's bookmarks and then moving to another computer with no access to what you saved. These tools help you keep track of your work, especially when you use multiple lab computers.

Save, Organize, and Format Citations

Bibliographic management tools organize your citations, PDF documents and also help format the citations in the style you choose.  I or any reference librarian can help with these.
