Finding Book Reviews

Book Reviews can be tricky! Here's a guide to some sources and strategies.

Finding Reviews in Catalyst

To Find Book Reviews: Enter the author and/or title into the search box and search. In the column to the left of the result list, select Material Type = Reviews. (HINT: you may need to click on "More options")

No luck? In an advanced search, put the author and/or title into the "Any fields contains" box, and then put "review" in either the subject or title field.

Paper Review Sources

Reviews are generally published just as a book comes out, but sometimes it can take a year or more to get a good scholarly review out there. So start with the volume that represents your book's publication year and then check the next couple of volumes.
