Publishing Partnerships for Carleton Authors
Gould Library has partnered with the following publishers so that Carleton affiliated authors can publish Open Access (OA) with no or discounted Article Processing Charges (APC).

Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Transformative Open Access AgreementCarleton corresponding authors can publish open access in ACM journals without paying APCs under a three year agreement with ACM (2023 - 2026).

Cambridge University Press (CUP) Transformative AgreementCarleton corresponding authors can publish their articles Open Access at no cost in eligible journals under a three year agreement with CUP (2023 - 2025).

Institute of Physics (IOP) Transformative AgreementCarleton corresponding authors can publish an unlimited number of OA articles for free within most hybrid and fully OA IOP journals under a three year agreement (2025 - 2027). A small number of journals attach additional charges including, but not limited to page charges. These remain payable by the authors.

MDPICarleton affiliated authors receive a 10% discount on MDPI article processing charges.

Open Library of Humanitiesprovides open access to peer-reviewed articles in the humanities with no article processing charges for authors.

PLOSGould Library and PLOS have partnered to cover Carleton corresponding authors' publishing costs. Our partnership with PLOS means you will pay no fees when you publish Open Access in any of the 14 PLOS journals during the agreement period, (2025 - 2026).
