Finding Works That Cite Another - Moving Forward Through Citation Relationships

Want to find out who has cited an article you have already found? Want to move forward through citation relationships, not just backward via bibliographies and reference lists? Google Scholar and Web of Science are two essential tools to help you do this.

Google Scholar. Watch this 4 minute video for a demonstration of how to use Google Scholar to quickly find newer articles, books, and papers that cite an older one. You'll probably want to expand the window or open the video in another tab.

How to Use (and Love) ILL

Want a book or journal article that isn't in Carleton's collection? Have you found something online that's prompting you for a password? Don't buy it! Make sure we don't have it in Carleton's collection, then, if not, request it through ILL. What's ILL? This short video will explain.
