- Journals ListA complete list of the library's journal subscriptions. Search here to find out if the library subscribes to a journal and if it is available electronically, in print, or microform.
- Using the library from off campusCurrent Carleton faculty, staff, and students can access electronic resources from anywhere. Once you log in, your computer will be recognized by web sites as being a Carleton subscriber.
Resources for Building Citation Networks
- Web of Science This link opens in a new window(Searches through citations, subject indexing, and some full text)
A vast index of literature from the sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Also offers cited reference searching to see who has cited a particular document. 1898 - current. - Google Scholar This link opens in a new window(open access)
A quick way to search across disciplines. Highly cited works tend to appear at the top of the search results. Look for the "Full Text" link to find access (like the "Find It" button in other databases). "Cited by" provides a function similar to the SSCI above.
How to Use (and Love) ILL
Want a book or journal article that isn't in Carleton's collection? Have you found something online that's prompting you for a password? Don't buy it! Make sure we don't have it in Carleton's collection, then, if not, request it through ILL. What's ILL? This short video will explain.
