Class goals

  • Students will understand how to use Catalyst to initiate a search.

  • Students will have the ability to use Catalyst to differentiate between other various sources types such as monographs and peer-reviewed journal articles.

  • Students will understand how to use Worldcat to find additional material not owned by Carleton and St. Olaf.

 

Sample topic for searching: 

What has become of the detention centers (i.e Villa Grimaldi, ESMA) after the dictatorships?  How are they a battleground for memory in these societies?
