Bibles at Gould Library

Searching for bible versions can be more complicated than you think! Refer to this guide for advice.

Welcome!

This is a guide to help you find Bibles in the Carleton Library using Catalyst. The "Tips for Bible Search" tab introduces some useful websites and databases for Bible research as well as information on St.Olaf Bible resources.  The "Bible Versions" tab lists some of the Bible versions (King James, American Standard, Revised Standard, and Douay-Rheims).

This guide also presents some of useful online websites and databases as well as our collection of Bibles in foreign languages (French, German, Spanish, and Hebrew).

This guide was created by Emika Otsuka, Reference &Instruction intern at Gould Library and Political Science Major '20.

You can also find Bibles in the Special Collections, which is located on the first level next to the College Archives.
