Annual reports that present detailed vital statistics data, including natality, mortality, marriage and divorce.
Records of vital events -- births, deaths, marriages, divorces, and fetal deaths -- are collected by the states, two cities (Washington, DC and New York City) and five territories. The National Vital Statistics System exists to work in coordination with these agencies to collect and disseminate these data as the official vital statistics for the nation.
