Evaluating Media
You will have to establish priority among the media you find. Use the information you gather about media outlets for individual countries and regions to help you contextualize media. Read carefully, and remember that you can use the resources listed on the Primary Sources tab of this guide to help you find bills or statues referenced in news sources (often they will not include links).
Online European News Sources
- EU NewsroomThe EU Newsroom is the official news website of the institutions of the European Union. It provides online access to the latest official press material released by all EU institutions, as well as practical information for journalists.
- Politico.euFormerly known as European Voice. Independent reporting on the EU.
- Political groups within the EUThe members of the European Parliament sit in political groups. These are organised by political affiliation and not by nationality.
- EurActivIndependent media portal reporting on/lobbying EU.
- EurozineAggregated and translated articles about current events from various European journals and magazines.
