Sample Chicago citations (footnotes)
- HINT: Look at Chapter 14 to format your footnotes!It includes lots of detail on exactly what to put where and why. MANY samples of various types of books, journal articles, interviews, websites, scriptural references, recordings of lectures...etc.
- 14.211 Unpublished interviewsMost of your interviews will probably follow this style.
- 14.267 Online multimediaThis includes information on how to cite things like YouTube videos and TED talks.
- 14.207 Citing web pages and websitesCiting things like Wikipedia.
- 14.209 Citing social media contentIncludes examples of how to cite Facebook.
- 14.239 Bible chapter and verseNote that you do NOT cite a page number!
- 14.264 Recordings of literature, lectures, and suchUse this for "recordings of drama, prose or poetry readings, lectures, and the like." Note that this would be more used for recordings that are published, including recordings published online. (think: records and tapes)

Citing Data Sets in Chicago
Unfortunately this is a little tricky to do, so you'll need to get creative! Use this other sites as a guide but as always, use your best judgment. Default to giving more information rather than less information. See also the Chicago rules:
