Hours and LocationsDispersed among 14 facilities on the three Twin Cities campuses, the University of Minnesota Libraries contain 6.2 million print volumes, nearly 37,000 serial subscriptions, 6.3 million microforms, 2.65 million government documents, and 423,000 maps, making it the 16th largest research library in North America.

Visitor AccessThe collections and facilities of the University of Minnesota Libraries are open to the public. Carleton students may not check out materials from the libraries (except via Interlibrary Loan at Carleton), but Carleton faculty may apply for special borrowing privileges.

Searching the Catalog
MNCAT Discovery is the system-wide online library catalog for the University of Minnesota Libraries. It includes materials and resources from the Crookston, Duluth, Morris, and Twin Cities campuses, much of which can be borrowed through Interlibrary Loan at Carleton.
