The National Center for Education Statistics is a rich source of education data on the national and state level. Most local education data is collected and distributed by state agencies, primarily the Department of Education. This page highlights the following:
Minnesota Department of Education web site provides "Report Cards" for districts and for individual schools. Report cards bring together current data on test scores, staffing information, and provides graphics and links for comparison with other districts and schools within the state. The NCES maintains the Common Core of Data (CCD) collected from every public school in the country. Data shown includes directory information, total students, classroom teachers FTE, student/teacher ratio, enrollment by grade, race/ethnicity, and gender, number free/reduced-price lunch eligible, and directly certified.
