Rikaichan -- a Firefox browser that translates Japanese kanji to English words when you hover your mouse over a location on your screen.  Once you have gone to this link and added the application, try it out.  If it still doesn't work, you may have to do this:  On the Firefox tool bar, choose:  tools, options, general, rikaichan, options, general.  At the Enable Mode drop down box, choose:  Always enable at startup.  Restart Firefox.
