Select List of Reference Books

These are in the reference section of the Libe. Reference books like these as well as scholarly books (look for the scholarly press publishers) are great guides as you read the scholarly literature and start your own major research projects. This is just a starting point. There are many more books in reference and throughout the Libe that will be important to your research.

Online Reference

We're buying a lot of reference materials online now.  You can get to these by selecting "Carleton reference" or "reference entries" from the facets on the side when you're searching Catalyst.

  • GE - Environmental sciences.
  • GF - Human ecology - humans' relationship to specific environments.
