Since it takes years for journal articles to be published, if you want to know what is on the bleeding edge of economics research, your best bet is to look at working papers.  The resources to the right are the most comprehensive collections of working papers in this field.

Keep an eye out while searching EconLit for the tab labeled "Working Papers."

You can also narrow your search to working papers by typing 'working papers' in the search box and selecting Publication Type from the drop-down menu.
