Carleton College Archives: History of BIPOC Student Organizations at Carleton

Students Organizing for Unity and Liberation (SOUL)

1968 - 1997

Previously known as Negro Affairs Committee (NAC) until Spring 1968.

SOUL was incredibly effective at organizing events, uniting other student organizations, and drawing attention to racism on campus and beyond. This organization had a lasting impact on campus and influence nearly every other organization in this guide.
