Also known as the Latino Organization of Carleton.
LATINO was established in 1971 to give Latin American students the space and support on campus to meet and share. This group organized the first Latin Week events beginning with the 1977 “Latino Festival”.
1977-1980
as LATINO/Los Amigos 1980-1985
Established in 1977 with many similar aims to LATINO, this organization merged with LATINO in 1980 under the name LATINOS/Los Amigos through 1985. Together both groups organized the annual Latin Spring event though the 1970s and 80s.
