Established with other pre-professional associations in 1972, this organization focused on preparing students of color to enter law school and have careers in law. In the 1970s this group was known as the Black American Law Student Association (BALSA) or Third World Pre-Law. Presently the organization is known as the Carleton Pre-Law Association and works with students of any background.
